A strong storm system moved southeast through the central Plains during the late hours of the 9th and into the 10th. Thunderstorms developed first over northern Oklahoma, and then developed further south toward the Red River along and just behind the front.

Deaths and injuries are direct and indirect together, as the offices filed them. Damage is property and crops in the dollars of the year, not adjusted for inflation, and only where an office estimated it.

A strong storm system moved southeast through the central Plains during the late hours of the 9th and into the 10th. Thunderstorms developed first over northern Oklahoma, and then developed further south toward the Red River along and just behind the front. Large hail was reported with several of the thunderstorms, especially over southwest Oklahoma. Some of the hail fell in large quantities, with locations like Anadarko receiving so much hail that it looked like snow the next morning. The storms weakened to below severe limits by midnight as they moved off to the east.

The hail was reported two miles east of Highway 183 on Ozark Trail Road.
Up to quarter-size hail was reported through the Kiowa County dispatch.
Nickel- to quarter-size hail was reported.
The hail was reported on Highway 58.
Quarter- to half dollar-size hail was reported 3 to 4 miles west of Fort Cobb on Highway 9.
Up to golf ball-size hail was reported. The hail broke out windows of a few automobiles, as well as at residences. Monetary damages were estimated.
Penny- to nickel-size hail was reported in and around Enid.
Hail up to golf ball-size covered the ground.
Hail up to golf ball-size piled up several inches deep over the eastern sides of Andarko. A measured wind gust of 59 mph was also reported. The hail dammed up the city's drainage system, causing brief flooding of the streets. So much hail fell that it was still in piles well into the next day. No damage was reported with the hail.

The First Christian Church was heavily damaged following a lightning strike. Although the building was not a total loss, a significant portion burned to the ground. The time of the lightning strike was approximate. Monetary damages were estimated.
The hail covered Highway 8 briefly, three miles north of Cyril.
The hail was reported near the intersection of Highway 58 and Meers Porter Hill Road.
