What happened

The episode as NWS BYZ wrote it up.

Tight pressure gradients across the Beartooth/Absaroka Mountain Foothills resulted in high winds across the area. This resulted in the recent fresh snow cover to significantly blow and drift...especially in the Livingston and Nye areas. Visibilities near zero at times combined with large snow drifts resulted in I-90 in the Livingston area being closed for nearly two days.
