Numerous funnel clouds were reported in addition to very heavy rainfall and several reports large hail. During the overnight hours a second series of storms formed, which resulted in damaging wind near Norton.

An intense thunderstorm moved southeast out of Red Willow county Nebraska during the night, producing damaging winds in and just north of Norton. A trampoline was lofted over a house, and just north of the airport a tank was rolled across the highway. A grain auger was also damaged.
