A fatality occurred due to black ice. The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Mastic Road and Herkimer Street in Mastic at 645 am on Monday December 7th.
As the offices recorded each death: direct deaths were caused by the weather itself, indirect ones by something it set in motion.
