A six-car accident occurred on I-55 in Sprigfield at around 10:30 AM on January 25th. Snow-covered roads were cited as the cause of the accident. Two people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
A woman lost control of her car on U.S. 45 about 1 mile south of 650th Avenue at 5:55 PM. Snow-covered roads were to blame for the accident. She was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Numerous traffic accidents were reported across Shelby County as a result of snow-covered roadways. Three people were injured and treated at area hospitals.
