Severe drought conditions developed in southern portions of Price County by the end of October, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. The remainder of northwest Wisconsin remained in moderate drought or abnormally dry conditions. Precipitation was 75 to 100 percent of normal for the month of October in northwest Wisconsin.
