A stationary frontal boundary was situated from Manteo to Charlotte North Carolina. The air-mass south of this boundary had very high moisture content. Numerous slow moving thunderstorms developed along a weak seabreeze during the afternoon. As the seabreeze interacted with outflow boundaries, isolated thunderstorms pulsed to severe levels.
