Heavy snow fell over southwest Montana. At the lower elevations 6 to 7 inches of snow fell at Butte and Philispburg, with 8 to 14 inches of snow over the higher terrain. Gusty north to northeast winds caused reduced visiblity from blowing and drifting snow.
