Two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms developed this day across portions of northeast Montana. The first severe storms developed ahead of a strong mid level disturbance early this morning before exiting into North Dakota by the early afternoon.

Two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms developed this day across portions of northeast Montana. The first severe storms developed ahead of a strong mid level disturbance early this morning before exiting into North Dakota by the early afternoon. The skies behind this first round of storms cleared by midday fueling the redevelopment of additional severe storms ahead of a surface trough.
