RIDGE HAS TRANSLATED EAST A BIT FROM LAST EVENING. REGIONAL WSR-88D
RADAR SHOWS CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY PRIMARILY CONFINED ALONG SURFACE
BOUNDARY. SHORT TERM CONVECTIVE ANALYSIS YIELDS 1000 J/KG SURFACE
BASED CAPE...LI/S AROUND -4...AND PRECIPITABLE WATER VALUES AROUND 2
INCHES. LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINFALL APPEARS TO BE THE ONLY THREAT AT
BEST TONIGHT BUT WILL LEAVE MENTION OUT OF HWO AS CHANCES REMAIN

Rainfall was near normal to about 3 inches below normal in July which brought the yearly deficit to around 15 to 18 inches below normal. The drought impacted agricultural and hydrological interests.
