Low pressure moving across the area brought light snow February 17th. The arctic airmass behind this system combined with upper level disturbances, brought heavier snow showers into the 18th.|Snowfall amounts ranged from 2 inches along the Blue Ridge...to 8 inches in western portions of Ashe and Watauga counties.
