Sustained wind of 44 mph was measured at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer observing station at Shinnecock Inlet, along with a gust to 56 mph at 1515 LST.
Multiple trees and utility poles knocked down across the Hamptons by estimated 50 kt wind gusts.
Trees were blown down across Long Island Avenue, west of state Route 112, in Medford.
