An upper low in Wyoming transported copious amounts of moisture into northeast Montana during the morning hours. A narrow band of heavy snowfall affected an area from Bainville southwest through Terry, and points east to the North Dakota border. Most areas picked up from 2 to 4 inches of snow, with isolated 6 inch amounts in extreme southern Wibaux County. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour were observed in spots.
