Strong westerly winds occurred during the early morning hours of the 3rd, behind a warm front. Some wind damage occurred near the Lake Michigan shoreline. Gusts of 40 to 50 mph brought down trees in Emmet, Leelanau, and Manistee Counties. Power lines were downed in spots by the falling trees and limbs. Two cars in the city of Manistee were damaged by falling trees.
