Snow began to fall over the region beginning late on February 24th and continued through the early evening hours on February 25th.|Snowfall amounts ranged from 3 to 6 inches across Maryland. Nearly 2000 people lost power in Montgomery County with the snowfall. Numerous traffic accidents were reported across the Baltimore metro area due to the icy road conditions. Schools were delayed Monday, February 26th, in Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties.
