North to northwest winds over the unseasonablly warm waters of Lake Michigan resulted in a few dominant bands of moderate to locally heavy lake effect snowfall across extreme northern Indiana. The heaviest amounts ranged from 8 inches in the Fish Lake area of Laporte county to 6 inches in the New Carslie area of St.
Deaths and injuries are direct and indirect together, as the offices filed them. Damage is property and crops in the dollars of the year, not adjusted for inflation, and only where an office estimated it.
