The first of the two storms put down six to ten inches in the mountain valleys and ten to twenty inches in the higher elevations mainly above 6000 feet.

Reports from cooperative observers and trained spotters indicated six to twelve inches of new snow fell during the day. SNOTEL sites recorded around ten to eleven inches for most locations and twenty inches at Deadwood Summit.
Bogus Basin Ski Resort reported eleven inches of new snow on their website during the dayimte hours and a trained spotter in Pine, Idaho reported 10 inches in the evening. Some of the high mountain SNOTEL sites reported 10 to 15 inches during the event.
