High Wind in Guam, July 9 to 10, 2007
High winds buffeted Guam and the northern Mariana Islands of Rota, Tinian and Saipan on July 9th and 10th as Tropical Storm Man-Yi passed well southwest of the islands. From early on the morning of the 9th through the morning of the 10th, frequent gusts of 40 mph or more were recorded on Guam and Saipan.

High winds buffeted Guam and the northern Mariana Islands of Rota, Tinian and Saipan on July 9th and 10th as Tropical Storm Man-Yi passed well southwest of the islands. From early on the morning of the 9th through the morning of the 10th, frequent gusts of 40 mph or more were recorded on Guam and Saipan. At Guam International Airport, the peak gust was from the east-southeast at 54 mph at 1155 GST on the 9th, but an unofficial gust to 61 mph was noted at Andersen AFB an hour later. On Saipan, the airport recorded a peak gust of 49 mph from the east-southeast at 1154 GST.
Damage was minor, with widespread power outages and some downed tree limbs and power poles. No injuries were reported.
