The Jacksonville Beach Co-op observer reported 8.01 inches of rain since midnight.
Craig Field ASOS reported 4.01 inches of rain since midnight and it was still raining at the time of the report.
A trained spotter who was part of a local mesonet reported 4.18 inches of rainfall since midnight. The location was just west of the Phillips Highway and Saint Augustine Road interchange.
A Cooperative Observer reported 5.39 inches of rainfall since midnight. The observation site lcoation was just east of the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.
A trained spotter reported 5.24 inches of rainfall since midnight. The observer’s location was just southwest of Cassat Avenue and Normandy Boulevard.
A trained spotter reported 5.13 inches of rainfall since midnight.
Reports from Flagler County Emergency Management include 4.16 inches of rain at Flagler Beach as of 9:00 am EDT, 0.50 inches of rain at the Flagler County EOC as of 1100 am EDT, and 2.99 inches of rain in East Palm Coast as of 11:00 am EDT.
A trained Spotter reported severe ponding on roadways in Jacksonville Beach with some of Penman Road completely flooded. A few small tree limbs were also reported down.
A spotter in Flagler Beach measured 3.55 inches of rainfall since 130 am EST/230 am EDT.
At 11:00 EST, a trained spotter reported 3 to 6 inches of water on road at the Five Points intersection and 8 to 10 inches at Stockton Road and Interstate 10. A second spotter reported water up to mid point of tires at the intersection of Century 21 Street and Bowden Road.
Flooding along Interstate 95 southbound at Interstate 10 closed both Interstates. Flooding was also reported along Casset Avenue at Interstate 10 and flooding at Normandy Boulevard at Fouraker Road was also prompting road closures. The Moncrief Creek water level was up to bottom of bridge along Moncrief Road and West 45th Street near Summer Brooks Nursing Home. One business was flooded in San Marco and fifteen motorists had to be rescued from stalled vehicles. At 12:45 EDT a trained spotter reported Riverside Avenue flooded from Barrs Street...near St Vincents Hospital north to Memorial Park at Riverside Avenue and Margaret Street. Cars were being turned away for due to 2 to 2.5 feet of water in the roadway.
Water covered several intersections along A1A and many other secondary streets in Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, and northern Ponte Vedra Beach. the Observed estmated over 4 inches of rain since dawn. |
At 09:44 EST 45 mph wind gust reported by a private weather station 6 blocks north of Flagler Beach Pier. At 09:45 EST a 47 mph wind gust was reported at the Flagler Beach Pier. One tree was reported down on a power line in Palm Coast at 10:05 EST and a second tree was blown down on John Anderson Highway in Flagler Beach at 10:22 EST.
Tide of 2 to 3 feet above astronomical tide on the Intracoastal Water Way due to persistant northeast winds over the past two days. Tides flooded marsh areas and onto some docks. Highest tide in the Oak Landing area since Tropical Storm Frances in 2004.
The St Augustine CMAN station measured peak wind gust of 48 mph as a band of showers moved through.
