PATCHY FOG TO AREAS ALONG AND EAST OF THE INVERTED SURFACE TROUGH
WHERE DEWPOINTS ARE HOVERING NEAR 70 DEGREES AND RAIN HAS FALLEN.

Near to above normal rainfall relaxed drought conditions to portions of East Arkansas while extreme East Arkansas remained in a severe(D2) to an extreme(D3) drought. Rainfall amounts during the month of September ranged from an inch below normal to around 3 inches above normal. This brought the yearly deficit to 3 to 10 inches below normal. The drought impacted agricultural and hydrological interests of the area and burn bans remained in effect in some areas due to the lack of rainfall.
