TODAY DUE TO SIGNIFICANT DIGGING OF THE OFFSHORE UPPER TROUGH TAKING
PLACE WELL SOUTH OF 40N. THE COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
CASCADES THIS AFTERNOON AND WEAKEN AS IT GRADUALLY MOVES ACROSS
EASTERN OREGON. THE SNOW LEVEL IS WELL ABOVE PASS LEVEL THIS MORNING
BUT WILL LOWER DOWN TO NEAR 4000 FEET THIS EVENING. WILL NEED TO
KEEP AN EYE ON THE MT SHASTA REGION LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING
FOR POSSIBLE SNOW ADVISORY. WITH BACKING 700MB FLOW TODAY UPSLOPE
PATTERN MAY DEVELOP OVER PORTIONS OF SISKIYOU COUNTY INITIALLY
KEEPING STEADY RAIN FALLING. WET BULB EFFECT DURING THE AFTERNOON
MAY LEAD TO LOCALLY LOWER SNOW LEVELS AROUND MT SHASTA CITY.
