A colder northwest flow caused upslope snow showers. Accumulations of 4 to 7 inches were common.

A colder northwest flow caused upslope snow showers. Accumulations of 4 to 7 inches were common. For example, measurements in Elkins were 5 to 7 inches. Elevations above 3000 feet saw 6 to 9 inches of accumulation. However, descending the Back Allegheny Mountain and the Yew Mountains, only 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulated along the upper Greenbrier River around Marlinton.
