A strong cold front crossed the Northern Plains during the morning hours, bringing gusty winds to the South Dakota plains. Northwest winds of 35 to 50 mph, with gusts to 65 mph, were common across the northwest and south central South Dakota plains. Areas of blowing dust reduced visibilities and resulted in two automobile accidents in Bennett County. No one was seriously injured.
