Strong low pressure developed and moved along the North Carolina coast on the 21st and 22nd resulting in high winds, and minor coastal flooding and beach erosion across the Outer Banks. Water levels rose to 2 to 3 feet above normal along coastal sections of the Outer Banks during the night of the 21st, and on the sound side of the Outer Banks on the 22nd as the low passed to the east.
