Close to 7 inches of rain fell on Beech Mountain in southwest Watauga Co in the late afternoon and early evening of the 19th. The resulting flash flooding resulted in roads closed with water and debris on them, as well as, numerous driveways washed out. Some of the roadways had minor damaged caused to them.
