Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms moved across southern New Hampshire, producing wind and lightning damage across Cheshire and Hillsborough counties. In Swanzey, severe winds brought trees down along route 12, and these winds also damaged a nearby garage.

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms moved across southern New Hampshire, producing wind and lightning damage across Cheshire and Hillsborough counties. In Swanzey, severe winds brought trees down along route 12, and these winds also damaged a nearby garage. In Brookline, lightning sparked a fire at the Bingham Lumber Inc. lumber mill. This fire caused structural and electrical damage in the building where the wood shavings are collected.No injuries directly resulted from these storms.
