.DISCUSSION...
DENNIS NEARING LANDFALL EARLY THIS AFTERNOON JUST EAST OF MOBILE BAY
IN THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE. BOTH MODELS HANDLE THIS SCENARIO GOOD BUT
BEGIN TO DIFFER ON TUESDAY WITH EXTENT OF REMAINS OF DENNIS OVER
MISSOURI AND BEYOND. GFS NOT AS FAR WEST WITH REMAINS AND WITH WEAK
RIDGE TO EAST AND STRONGER HIGH TO THE EAST BELIEVE DENNIS WILL
CURVE MORE NORTHEAST AS GFS ADVERTISES. WILL USE A BLEND FOR
FORECAST BUT TREND TOWARDS GFS SOLUTION. WEAK COLD FRONT WITH MAIN
ENERGY WELL OVER CANADA APPROACHING FROM THE NORTHWEST TONIGHT. WITH
THE AID OF LLJ AND DRY LINE SHOULD BE ENOUGH LIFT FOR SCHC ALONG
WESTERN EDGE OF CWA. THEN FOCUS SHIFTS TO NORTHWEST LATE WITH
ADVANCE OF COOL FRONT. HAVE DROPPED POPS BACK TO SCHC ON MONDAY WITH
SOMEWHAT FASTER MOVEMENT OF SYSTEM AND MARGINAL LIFT. TEMPERATURES
TO BE SLIGHTLY COOLER ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY WITH PASSAGE OF FRONT.
HAVE DROPPED PRECIPITATION ON TUESDAY MORNING WITH BOTH MODELS IN
GOOD AGREEMENT ONTIMING OF SYSTEM. TEMPERATURES BEGIN TO RISE
WEDNESDAY AND BEYOND AS REMNANTS OF DENNIS PULL NORTHEAST AND RIDGE
BUILDS BACK IN WITH DRIER AIRMASS IN PLACE. AS WE TRANSITION TO A
MORE ZONAL FLOW NEXT SYSTEM WELL NORTH IN CENTRAL CANADA APPROACHES
FORECAST AREA ON FRIDAY BUT DRIER AIRMASS HAVE LEFT EXTENDED DRY FOR
NOW...WITH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES.
