Ice constrictions on the Au Sable River caused the river to rise above flood stage near Red Oak in mid January. Rainfall on the 13th and 14th also contributed to high river levels. The river crested at 6.66 feet at 8 am on the 17th. Flood stage is 6 feet. No property damage was reported.
