Areas of freezing drizzle began in earnest early Sunday evening, February 6th. The freezing drizzle was mixed at times with light snow and sleet, but managed to coat many roadway surfaces by 7 PM CST, resulting in numerous accidents. Ellis County officials reported several vehicles on I-70 had slid into the ditches in the eastern part of Ellis County. At least one accident on I-70 was an injury accident.
