Areas of heavy snow were noted over portions of the higher terrain of southern Colorado. Some of the higher snow totals follow: 6 inches 12 miles west-northwest of Trinidad in Las Animas County...7 inches 5 miles southeast of Fort Garland in Costilla County and around Colorado City in Pueblo County...8 inches at Beulah...La Veta...5 miles to the west of Trinidad and 18 miles to the west-southwest of Aguilar...10 inches in Rye in Pueblo County...locally 11 inches near Crestone in Saguache County...14 inches in Walsenburg in Huerfano County and 5 miles north-northwest of Aguilar in Las Animas County.
