.SHORT TERM...FOR THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA INTERIOR...AFTER TUESDAY/S
COOL DOWN...TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE VALLEY SHOWED SOME RECOVERY THIS
AFTERNOON. ON AVERAGE...TEMPERATURES WERE UP 4 DEG-F THIS EVENING
FROM THOSE OF TUESDAY EVENING. MODELS SHOW FURTHER HEATING ON
THURSDAY AS TEMPERATURES WILL CLIMB UP TO NEAR 100 DEG-F ACROSS THE
SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY. THIS WILL BE DUE TO A BIULDING RIDGE PATTERN
OVER THE WEST. OTHERWISE...A DRY WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT WILL CONTINUE
OVER THE REGION FOR THE NEXT DAY. THEREFORE WILL EXPECT TO SEE A
REALLY MUNDANE PATTERN FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS AS SHORT RANGE MODELS
AGREE IN KEEPING A ZONAL TO SOUTHWEST FLOW IN PLACE. SO...WILL MAKE
NO UPDATES TO THE FORECAST PACKAGE THIS EVENING.

The Corral Fire was lightning started on the 14th of August in the high Sierra Nevada 11 miles southeast of Mammoth Lakes in Madera County. The fire was initially allowed to burn unmanaged through August and became actively managed in early September. The fire burned approximately 195 acres with no injuries or structures lost with the last report on September 9th.
