A 976MB Low lifted northward into the central Gulf of Alaska and inland near Cape Suckling during this time. A strong front with embedded thunderstorms raced through Southeast Alaska and caused wide spread high winds.

A 976MB Low lifted northward into the central Gulf of Alaska and inland near Cape Suckling during this time. A strong front with embedded thunderstorms raced through Southeast Alaska and caused wide spread high winds. These winds were strongest in the Southern Panhandle with a peak gust of 62 knots (70 mph) being measured on the top of the Ketchikan airport terminal. Only minor damage was reported.
