Widespread dense fog enveloped much of western Kentucky, mainly along and north of a Paducah to Madisonville line. The fog formed over areas that received an ice storm the previous day.

Deaths and injuries are direct and indirect together, as the offices filed them. Damage is property and crops in the dollars of the year, not adjusted for inflation, and only where an office estimated it.

Widespread dense fog enveloped much of western Kentucky, mainly along and north of a Paducah to Madisonville line. The fog formed over areas that received an ice storm the previous day. Visibilities were one quarter mile or less. The thick fog prevented any flights from departing or arriving at Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport for six hours.
