SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY WILL GIVE WAY TO
RAIN FOR MONDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL STAY COOL AND BELOW NORMAL FOR
THE FIRST HALF OF THE WEEK. NIGHT TIME READINGS WILL BE DROPPING
QUITE LOW...AND THEY WILL HAVE TO BE WATCHED IN CASE THE FREEZING
POINT IS REACHED. DRY WEATHER WILL PREVAIL FROM WEDNESDAY THROUGH
THE LAST DAY OF THE EXTENDED.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WAS STATIONARY ALONG THE ARKANSAS LOUISIANA
BORDER AT MID AFTERNOON. AFTERNOON SUNSHINE OVER SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS
HAS ALLOWED THE ATMOSPHERE TO DESTABILIZE. MEANWHILE...LOW PRESSURE
IS FORECAST TO MOVE ALONG THE FRONT THIS EVENING. THIS WILL ALLOW
ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO FORM WITH SOME STRONG TO
SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE. THE GREATEST CHANCES OF SEVERE WEATHER WILL
BE FOR LOCATIONS GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A CAMDEN...FORDYCE TO
DUMAS LINE THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE
LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

COOLER AIR IS FORECAST TO OVERSPREAD ARKANSAS BY EARLY NEXT WEEK.
THE NORTHERN AND WESTERN PARTS OF THE STATE COULD EXPERIENCE LOW
TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER AND MID 30S BOTH ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY
MORNINGS. TUESDAY APPEARS TO BE THE COOLEST OF THE TWO MORNINGS.
PERSONS WITH TENDER OUTDOOR VEGETATION SHOULD MONITOR LATER
FORECASTS OVER THE WEEKEND FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
