DOWN AND THEREFORE WILL LET THE HIGH WIND WARNING PERSIST.
LATEST RADAR INDICATED SCATTERED SHOWERS INCREASING IN COVERAGE AND
INTENSITY OVER THE EASTERN SLOPES OF THE CASCADES. WOULD EXPECT WITH
AN INTENSE WESTERLY UPSLOPE FLOW THAT THE TREND FOR INCREASING PCPN
INTENSITY AND COVERAGE WILL PERSIST AND SPREAD RAPIDLY INTO THE BLUE

A STRONG WINTER WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
TODAY BRINGING MOUNTAIN SNOW AND HIGH WINDS. SEVERAL HIGH WIND
WARNINGS AND WINTER STORM WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED. A SNOW ADVISORY
HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR WALLOWA COUNTY.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
ANOTHER STRONG WAVE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION ON THURSDAY
BRINGING MORE HIGH WINDS AND MOUNTAIN SNOW. A HIGH WIND WATCH HAS
BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS EVENT.

High winds were measured by two Hanford Mesonet sites. Peak wind gusts included 68 MPH 23 miles north of Benton City at 2:30 PM, and 67 MPH eight miles north of Benton City at 7:00 PM. Utility crews and law enforcement reported a few power outages, along with a couple uprooted road signs.
