Emergency Managers from Loiza reported coastal flooding at Barrio Mediania Alta. The river mouth was blocked by sand and debris, and did not allowed water from mangrove to flow out to sea. Incoming swells were entering the mangrove via another entrance, allowing the water level to go up, flooding about 300 houses.
