MAIN CONCERNS NEXT FEW HOURS WILL BE SEVERE WEATHER IN THE NORTHEAST
AND STRONG WINDS OVER MUCH OF THE AREA.

NASTY WEATHER OCCURRING IN UNION COUNTY WITH A REPORT OF GOLBALL
HAIL IN CAPULIN. THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER TO CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER
HOUR OR TWO THEN SHOULD MOVE E. ELSEWHERE WINDS WERE THE STORY TODAY
AND THEY WILL CONTINUE UNTIL DARK ESPECIALLY IN THE CNTRL AND ERN
AREAS. WILL CONTINUE CURRENT ADVISORY THROUGH 900 PM ALL AREAS...
ALTHOUGH MAY DROP BELOW CRITERIA EARLIER IN THE W AND LINGER A BIT
LONGER IN THE E. MOST OF THE CONVECTION WILL BE CONFINED TO THE
NORTHEAST TONIGHT...BUT WRAP AROUND MOISTURE WILL KEEP ISOLATED
ACTIVITY IN THE N MUCH OF THE NIGHT. SOME SNOW MAY FALL ABOVE 7500
FEET IN THE NRN MOUNTAINS BUT NOT EXPECTING MUCH ACCUMULATION.

STORM OVER NM NOW WILL DEPART TO THE E FRI. WILL KEEP A FEW SHOWERS
AND STORMS IN THE NE IN THE MORNING OTHERWISE DRY FRI. WARMER IN
THE W AND COOLER IN THE E. WINDS WILL BE MUCH LESS ALL AREAS...WITH
BREEZY CONDITIONS CONFINED TO THE E. WILL INCLUDE MENTION OF AN
E WIND INTO THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY FRI NIGHT. SHORT WAVE RIDGE FOR THE
WEEKEND WITH WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS. SW FLOW INCREASES SOME SUNDAY
WITH BREEZES RETURNING. SAME FOR MONDAY...THEN STRONG BACKDOOR FRONT
INTO THE NE MON NIGHT AND SWD ACROSS THE PLAINS TUE AND TUE NIGHT.
COOLER AND MORE MOIST FOR MUCH OF THE E TUE AND WED WITH A SLIGHT

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH AND CENTRAL NEW MEXICO.

.DAY ONE...

THERE IS A RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING
ACROSS THE EASTERN PLAINS...ESPECIALLY IN THE NORTHEAST OVER
UNION...HARDING AND QUAY COUNTIES. THUNDERSTORMS THAT FORM ALONG THE
DRY LINE THIS AFTERNOON WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE DAMAGING
WIND GUSTS...HAIL AND POSSIBLY TORNADOES. THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER
THREAT WILL SHIFT EAST TOWARD TEXAS THIS EVENING...HOWEVER A FEW
STORMS MAY STILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL AND STRONG
WINDS NEAR THE TEXAS BORDER.

ACROSS THE NORTHWEST PART OF THE AREA...THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING STRONG MICROBURST WINDS AROUND 55 MPH. IN
ADDITION...DRY LIGHTNING IS POSSIBLE AS THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE
VERY LITTLE RAINFALL.

EVEN WHERE THUNDERSTORMS DO NOT FORM...WINDS WILL BE STRONG. A WIND
ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN SECTIONS OF THE AREA.
