A wildfire burned 300 acres of grassland and also burned some small sheds. The fire came close to five homesteads, burning to less than 20 yards from two of them. One home had smoke damage from the fire. Dry conditions and winds gusting to 40 mph allowed the fire to advance rapidly before it was brought under control.
