An area of low pressure moved just north of the Great Lakes region early on the 25th. Heavy lake effect snows off Lake Superior and Lake Michigan broke out on the back side of the low later on the 25th and continued into the morning on the 26th.

Widespread snowfall totals of 8 to 12 inches were reported across northeast Upper Michigan and northwest Lower Michigan.
