Low pressure pushing east through the Mid Atlantic region on the 7th brought wintery precipitation to Allegany County. With temperatures hovering around freezing in the mountains, minor accumulations of snow, sleet, and freezing rain were reported.
Deaths and injuries are direct and indirect together, as the offices filed them. Damage is property and crops in the dollars of the year, not adjusted for inflation, and only where an office estimated it.

Low pressure pushing east through the Mid Atlantic region on the 7th brought wintery precipitation to Allegany County. With temperatures hovering around freezing in the mountains, minor accumulations of snow, sleet, and freezing rain were reported. A spotter at 2500 feet about 1 mile west of Frostburg reported an accumulation of ice up to 1/4 inch thick on wires in addition to 3/4 of an inch of snow and sleet accumulation. Just east of Frostburg, 1 1/4 inch of sleet accumulated along with a trace of ice on trees. Warm ground temperatures prevented accumulations at lower elevations.
