MODELS SHOW LARGE HIGH OVER THE WRN US BECOMING MORE CENTERED OVER
THE GREAT BASIN THE NEXT 24 HRS. A WEAK DELTA BREEZE HAS DEVELOPED
THIS EVE...WITH 8PM SFO-SAC GRAD UP 1.5 MBS FROM LAST EVE. 24HR
CHANGE SHOWS COOLING CONFINED TO THE IMMEDIATE DELTA...BUT SOME
MARINE AIR MAY REACH MCE OR MAE...BUT UNLIKELY ANY FARTHER SOUTH
OVERNITE.  LITTLE CHANGE SEEN ON ETA IN THICKNESSES MON...BUT 8H
TEMPS RISE ANOTHER DEGREE OR TWO FOR ANOTHER DEGREE OR SO WARMING IN
THE LOWER ELEVATIONS. ON MON NITE...NEW MODELS DIFFER SOME ON
EASTERLY WAVE PROGGED TO MOVE INTO SOCAL. THE ETA IS WEAKER AND
FARTHER SOUTH THAN THE NEW GFS. SINCE GFS HAS BEEN DOING A VERY GOOD
JOB WITH THE MONSOON THUS FAR...WILL STICK PRETTY CLOSE TO IT. BEST
MOISTURE AND DYNAMICS TO BE IN THE SOUTH PART OF THE REGION MON

THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER PORTIONS OF THE
SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA AND THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS TODAY. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTAIN GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...AND
BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER PORTIONS OF THE
SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA AND THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS
THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT. THE BEST CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE FOOTHILLS WILL HAVE A SLIGHT
RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS FOR TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. MONDAY NIGHT
THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT THERE IS SLIGHT RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER
THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY.

The Williams Fire was lightning started in the wee hours of the morning of July 28th and burned through the month of August as a managed resource fire. No injuries were reported but the fire cost was assessed at $22K.
