Three to five inches of rain fell along south coastal South Carolina during a six to eight hour period. The heavy rain produced flooding in Hilton Head, the City of Beaufort, the City of Charleston, and Edisto Beach. Numerous roads and streets were closed due to more than a foot of water in some places. Several inches of water got into some businesses and homes in down town Charleston.
