MODELS IN GOOD AGREEMENT TONIGHT WITH 06Z RUN FAILING COMPLETELY AND
HAVING TO BE RERUN. FORECAST CONCERNS TONIGHT WILL BE CONTINUED
CHANCE OF FROST TONIGH AND POSSIBLE FREEZE ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE
CASCADES.

IN THE SHORT TERM 120KT JET WITH WEAK MOISTURE ADVECTION WILL PREVIDE
CHANCES OF SHOWERS MAINLY TO THE WEST OF THE CASCADES TODAY. STRONG
SW SWEEPS ACROSS THE EAST SIDE WITH VERY COOL POOL ALOFT TOWARDS THE
MORNING. HOWEVER AS WAS THE CASE TONIGHT...CLEARING WILL PRVIDE
ENOUGH RADIATIVE COOLING TO DECOUPLE WINDS AND ALLOW TEMPS TO DROP
BREIFLY BELOW FREEZING AGAIN BEFORE SW PASSAGE BRINGS CLOUDS AND A
CHANCE OF PRECIP TO THE AREA. PRECIPITATION ASSOCIATED WITH THIS
EVENT WILL BE WEAK WITH PERPENDICULAR FLOW AT H7 NEGLIGABLE AND
ASSOCIATED SNOW ACCUM IN THE CASCADES WILL ALSO BE LIGHT.

IN THE EXTENDED...WILL WARM THINGS UP A BIT IN THE EXTENDED WILL
AMPLIFIED RIDGING AS INDICATED BE NEWEST MODEL RUNS. CURRENTLY AM
PREFERRING THE ECMWF SOLUTION WITH A DEEPER UPPER LOW IN THE GULF OF
ALASKA AND THUS A SLOWER SOLUTION. WILL KEEP THE REMAINDER OF
EXTENDED DRY.
