.SYNOPSIS...A PACIFIC COLD FRONT ABOUT 350 MILES WEST OF ASTORIA THIS
EVENING WILL SLAM INTO THE OREGON AND SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON COAST
WEDNESDAY. THIS IS EXPECTED TO BRING STRONG GUSTY SOUTH WINDS TO THE
COASTAL HEADLANDS. A LOW PRESSURE ARA ALONG THE FRONT IS EXPECTED TO
MOVE NORTH JUST OFF THE COAST EARLY WEDNESDAY REACHING VANCOUVER
ISLAND LATE IN THE DAY. THIS WEATHER SYSTEM WILL SPREAD RAIN AND
MOUNTAIN SNOW INLAND WEDNESDAY. THE BROAD PARENT LOW PRESSURE AREA
FARTHER OFFSHORE WILL MOVE TOWARD QUEEN CHARLOTTES ISLAND THURSDAY
WILL SPIN CONTINUED SHOWERS INLAND WITH SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS.
PRECIPITATION WILL DECREASE LATER FRIDAY AS THE LOW CENTER MOVES INTO
WESTERN CANADA. ANOTHER RATHER STRONG WEATHER SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO
MOVE INLAND THIS WEEKEND...WITH WET WEATHER CONTINUING NEXT WEEK.

.SHORT TERM...PREFRONTAL CLOUDS ARE SPREADING TOWARD THE COAST THIS
EVENING FROM A COLD FRONT NEARING 130 WEST AT 8 PM. A FRONTAL WAVE IS
WELL DEPICTED BY THE AVIATION MODEL NEAR 38N/137W THIS EVENING. THAT
FEATURE WILL PINWHEEL NORTH ALONG THE COAST WEDNESDAY AND EXPECT IT
TO INTENSIFY AS IT ENCOUNTERS A STRONG JET MAXIMA AND DIFFLUENCE
ALOFT ALONG THE OREGON COAST WEDNESDAY. THIS WOULD MATCH THE AVIATION
MODEL FOR PROSPECTS OF SOME STRONG GALE WINDS OVER THE COASTAL WATERS
AND A HIGH WIND WATCH FOR THE COASTAL HEADLANDS WEDNESDAY. SATELLITE
SHOWS COOL IR CLOUD TOPS WITH THE FRONTAL WAVE THIS EVENING LOOKS WET
AND WINDY ALL AREAS INTO WEDNESDAY EVENING. POSSIBLE HIGH SURF
CONDITIONS WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY. MAY NEED A SNOW ADVISORY
FOR THE CASCADES WEDNESDAY INTO FRIDAY AS WELL...SHOWERS SHOULD
DECREASE FRIDAY AS THE PARENT LOW PRESSURE CENTER MOVES INTO WESTERN
CANADA.

ENSEMBLES IN MUCH BETTER AGREEMENT FOR THE WEEKEND THAN THEY WERE

POTENT SYSTEM FOR SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY...WITH HIGHER SNOW LEVELS AND
