5 flash flood, 2 flood, 1 thunderstorm wind. Local standard time, as filed.
Thunderstorms along a frontal boundary produced heavy rainfall across portions of central Ohio during the evening hours. Locally three to five inches fell across eastern Pickaway and western Hocking Counties, with high water causing several road closures near Leistville and Laurelville.
Trees were knocked down.
Oakland-Stoutsville Road was closed due to high water.
Morris Road was closed for a period of time due to high water.
Thunderstorms along a frontal boundary produced heavy rainfall across portions of central Ohio during the evening hours. Locally three to five inches fell across eastern Pickaway and western Hocking Counties, with high water causing several road closures near Leistville and Laurelville.
State Route 56 was closed near Haynes because of high water. Several homes were evacuated in Laurelville, with many vehicles in the area under three to four feet of water.
Problems with high water occurred across the county. A roof of a gas station on the west side of Chillicothe collapsed under the weight of the heavy rain.
High water washed out a berm on State Route 661.
