Heavy rainfall on the 9th and 10th produced widespread flooding. Quite a bit of cropland ended up under lakes of water. The NDAWN station at Langdon reported 3.84 inches of rain during this period, but unofficial reports of 6 to 11 inches were received.

CONVECTIION JUST BROKE THROUGH 850 MB CAP AT SOUTHEAST CORNER OF ND
ALONG THE FRONT...FIRING QUICKLY AS STORM PREDICTION CENTER EXPECTED.
THUNDERSTORMS CURRENTLY REDEVELOPING OVER NORTHEAST ND ARE AIDED BY
STRONG ISENTROPIC LIFT AS SHOWN ON 308K SURFACE IN MESOETA. BUT THIS
WILL END SOON WITH MAIN REASON FOR CONVECTION BECOMING MORE JET AND
VORTICITY MAX RELATED...SLIGHTLY FARTHER EAST. EXPECT SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS TO LAST WELL INTO THE EVENING EXCEPT ENDING EARLY
FOR EASTERN ND.

COOLER AND MUCH DRIER BEHIND THE FRONT SO THUNDER WILL END SOON
AFTER IT PROGRESSES EASTWARD. FLOODING TO CONTINUE ACROSS NORTHERN
TIER OF COUNTIES TONIGHT BUT REST OF REGION PROBABLY OK SINCE IT
HAS BEEN AWHILE SINCE HEAVY RAIN AND YESTERDAYS RAIN IS BEGINNING
TO ENTER MAINSTEM RIVERS.

EMBEDDED PIECES OF SHORTWAVE ENERGY IN AFOREMENTIONED FAST FLOW WILL
BE PROBLEMATIC. WITH SURFACE HIGH PARKED OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS
GULF OF MEXICO INFLUX WILL BE SHUTOFF WITH FRIDAYS TROUGH PASSAGE
