A storm system moved into southern Canada Saturday, March 9th. The associated strong cold front moved across the area during the early morning hours of March 10th. Strong winds were associated with this low pressure system and strong cold front during the early morning of March 10th. There were numerous power outages due to the high winds across all of Essex county, with the most impacted portion being the southern half of the county. The towns with the most damage reported included: Minerva, Schroon, Westport and Moriah. In Ticonderoga, a large new barn was destroyed.
