Three to five inches of rain fell in an 18-hr period causing northern sections of the Connecticut River to flood. Only minor flooding occurred. At Dalton, the Connecticut River was in flood from 2 pm on the 12th until 11 pm on the 14th, reaching a crest of 18.89 feet at 11 pm on the 13th, 1.89 feet above flood stage. At wells River, Vermont, the Connecticut was in flood from 9 pm on the 12th to 11 pm on the 13th, reaching a crest of 13.59 feet at 4 am on the 13th, 2.59 feet above flood stage.
