BUILDS OVER THE WEST. QPF JUSTIFIES WINTER STORM WARNINGS AND SNOW
ADVISORIES ABOVE THE SNOW LEVEL. SNOW LEVELS SHOULD STAY ABOUT
WHERE THEY ARE OVERNIGHT THEN RISE DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY. WINDS
ALONG THE EAST SLOPES OF THE SIERRA WILL CONTINUE WELL INTO THE
EVENING TONIGHT. RAIN AND SNOW WILL BE CONFINED TO OUR NORTHERN
ZONES BY MID DAY WEDNESDAY AND SHOULD END WEDNESDAY NIGHT. THE
RIDGE CONTINUES TO BUILD INTO FRIDAY FOR UNSEASONABLY WARM
TEMPERATURES AND DRY WEATHER.
AVN RUNS TODAY SHOW THE TROUGH FOR SATURDAY MOVING A BIT MORE SLOWLY
AND DEEPER THAN LAST NIGHTS MRF HAD. ALTHOUGH NOT A STRONG SYSTEM
IT WILL PRODUCE A SIGNIFICANT TEMPERATURE DROP FROM THE WARM
READINGS EXPECTED FOR FRIDAY. SHOWERS FROM IT WILL BE MAINLY IN THE
NORTH. MODELS ARE IN REASONABLE AGREEMENT IN DEVELOPING A COLD
TROUGH OVER THE ROCKY MTNS EARLY NEXT WEEK. AT THIS POINT IT LOOKS
