.SHORT TERM...A MID TO UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL
SWING NORTHEAST TODAY. AN UNSTABLE AIRMASS IS ALREADY IN PLACE...WITH
DEWPOINTS IN THE 50S. DAYTIME HEATING WILL CAUSE LIFTED INDICES TO
DROP TO NEAR -4 BY THIS AFTERNOON...WITH CAPES RANGING FROM 1500 TO
2500 OVER MUCH OF THE STATE. CONVECTION IS EXPECTED TO INITIATE OVER
THE SOUTHWEST MT MOUNTAINS THIS AFTERNOON...THEN MOVE OUT OVER
CENTRAL MT THIS EVENING. THE MORNING MESO-ETA RUN DEPICTS A MESOSCALE
HIGH PRESSURE BUBBLE MOVING ACROSS THE STATE THIS EVENING...WHICH
LINES UP NICELY WITH THE CONVECTIVE PRECIPITATION FOOTPRINT...AND
LIKELY DEPICTS A COLD POOL OUTFLOW. CURRENT FORECAST LOOKS TO BE IN
GOOD SHAPE...AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL BE QUITE WARM...BUT CLOUD
DEVELOPMENT SHOULD KEEP THEM FROM SOARING TOO MUCH ABOVE FORECAST
HIGHS. NO CHANGES NEEDED TO ZONES OR EAST OF DIVIDE PORTION OF STATE

AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS THEN MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY OVER THE
